65 HOUSTON, WE HAVE (AN AGE) PROBLEM...

I’m trying to add more content to the site that doesn’t revolve around my ongoing updates and issues with the new car. This is probably the only thing going on right now, but I still need to add more variety.

I went to the Bust Rallies site to see what we needed to complete the rally just for peace of mind, and it was there that I noticed the fly in the ointment, the monkey in the wrench (to quote John McClane in Die Hard): “All team members must be over 21.” 

This is a massive issue for Team Just Please Squint, as Maddie isn’t 21. I messaged Carl, showing him the bad news and adding, “Bagsy not being there when you tell Maddie!!!”  He had the same idea, replying, “Me too!  Matt, let ya sister know she can’t go!” 

I’ll be honest; this is a blow. I know Carl was looking forward to completing the trip with her, but we were all really looking forward to it, too.

We have been away with them a couple of times, and it is hilarious watching her wrap him around his little finger, and he winds her up endlessly. They are like a double act.

So, it is back to the drawing board for Carl. The rules also state that there must be “a minimum of 2 drivers per team,” so he must sort out his co-driver. Either that or not, take part officially and follow us on the rally. I mean, nothing is stopping him, or any of us, come to think of it, doing that.

Carl has emailed them to ask about the age limit for competitors. More news when we have it.
